What could be improved

Re-Training of most neurology staff. I had thought that the neurologist I had seen last time was better than the discriminatory ones I had seen last time but no, he was useless today.

He thinks my seizures could be migraines!!! The average patient knows more about epilepsy than them.

Why was I told that he has knowledge of partial seizures if he doesn't? He definitely does not.

I also missed an appointment because a letter was not sent out and was told it was a problem with my post even though this has happened at a previous address only with letters from your hospital. It wasn't sent, others have this problem with your hospital too, just admit it for goodness sake, lying does nothing for patient confidence.

Anything else?

Get staff that care more about their patients than their pay packet.

We thank Mr Croad for his continued feedback via this site; however we are unable to comment on much of his allegations as they relate to specific details of his care here. We would therefore encourage Mr Croad to make further contact with the PALS team on 0161 206 2003 so that we may assist him in resolving any new issues he has or offer further reassurance to him on issues her has raised with us in the past.

In general however, we would like to reassure Mr Croad and any other person reading this page that the Greater Manchester Neuroscience Centre based at Salford Royal provides treatment to patients across the region with complex neurological requirements. The centre employs highly specialised doctors and nurses with great expertise in conditions including epilepsy. All staff are committed to working with patients to diagnose and treat their illnesses. Again, if Mr Croad would like to discuss this further we would be happy to provide him with any reassurance we can.
