"So many problems"

About: Dashwood Medical Centre

I have asked nearly everybody at the surgery and no one can give me an answer.

Ring at 8am......I am at work.

We open at 7am......I start work at 7am caring for the elderly.

We now having a queuing system.....I drove from one client to another...5minutes..still at no,9

Had to switch phone off as I could have been there waiting all morning.

Book on line....but its 2 weeks in advance......I don't know when I am going to be ill.

I asked for a pre bookable appointment....sorry none left this week but 20 minutes later offering someone on the phone an appointment for the exact day I asked for.

Second problem ...after having an x ray I am still waiting 3 weeks later to find out if anything is wrong....I am still in pain with it so I hope nothing shows up.On asking for the results being told we only got them 2 days ago, when I said they were in the week before the answer was oh yes we have had them for 9 days.Told them not to bother anymore there is no point. If a problem arises from this I can always take further action.

Dear patient I was not made aware of your concerns did you ask to speak with a manager at all? Due to your work commitments it must be very difficult to contact us in your working hours. I am experiencing some concerns from patients about the menu option on the phones but this is what we were asked to provide. Its now created a different issues as patients wait patiently in the queue then just due to the volume of calls first thing the daily appointments are booked up very quickly and when anyone gets through we have used the daily amount. Our old system would cancel your call if our line was engaged but then I am advised that some patients have called many times to then get through. Due to the amount of patients and the increasing applications to register we are over 10700 now this has happened very quickly and so the system we have is as best as we can provide. You do state you have spoken to nearly everybody please contact the practice and ask to speak with the practice manager. You mention an appointment was offered to someone the same day would you know if we had a cancellation to offer this or if it was a medical emergency appointment? So I can clarify what happened. Your comments about x ray results we are advised by radiology they take a minimum of 4 weeks for a report back to the GP. I am very concerned you advise your symptoms are worse and we advised 2 different times for this report being received and not read. Again I would ask as I don't know your name or details to contact the practice. Telling my reception there is no point concerns me greatly and if any patient has an issue we try our best to resolve. I will ask the reception team if they remember any enquiries so I can get in touch.
