I was brought in with chest pains in the ambulance and shunted around for 20 minutes in a and e.. i was then sent in a wheelchair , still having heart pain.. i am diabetic and have high BP. After 3 hours when the pain had subsided i was given a blood test , by a nurse who didn't even have a list of patients. An hour and a half later I was told to walk to the doctor, and he told me that basically I had dodged a bullet because I was a smoker and there is no damage to my heart. Basically I was made to feel I had wasted all of their time. I was offered no scans or treatment , just sent on my way with a slapped wrist. I have since had two more attacks of this heart pain radiating down my arm, for hours at a time , popping aspirin and hoping i don't die. Should I bother to phone an ambulance next time?
Disgusting service! There were people waiting in triage for hours with broken limbs too. How is this acceptable?
"brought in by ambulance then left 4 hours in..."
