Hello i visited the a and e on Monday the 3rd of December at Walsall Manor for my son Sahir Mahmood. He encountered a severe asthma attack and the a and e told me that they cant do anything about that. They told me to go to the urgent care centre and they told me the waiting time was 2 hours. My son here couldn't wait two hours because he was suffering an asthma attack . i told them but they denied and told me to wait. My son breathing went that severe he found it difficult to say a word let alone speak! I went to the reception and literally cried to explain the fact my son is in severe pain. The reception ladies did not take further action but luckily a nurse came up to me and checked my sons illness. She went back to the a and e with me, and then he was kept all night in the children's ward i believe it was the paediatric ward. The doctors did tell me that his asthma was severe and why didn't i bring him earlier? And i replied the reason behind this and they told me to complain. This was not good patient relations especially for an ill child. He is 6 and suffered a severe asthma attack what can i do other than take him a and e? Breathing is the main priority so what was the reasoning for this poor behaviour?
