I had to have a routine colonoscopy check at the PAH. The lady who called me to arrange this was very pleasant and helpful.
As part of the process, I had to go and pick up a bowel preparation prior to the appointment. Having forgotten where I was supposed to go for this I turned up at the endoscopy unit instead. A nurse there cheerfully explained that I was in the wrong place but she was going over to the correct one and would show me the way. She did this and then sorted out the bowel prep for me whilst I waited.
On the day of the appointment I was again greeted by helpful and cheery staff, which made the whole procedure more relaxing. This included a nurse ensuring that I was comfortable whilst I waited, to the extent that she made sure the lighting was good to read my book!
The actual procedure went well and the staff were again professional and helpful in explaining what was going on.
"Very impressed"
