I am 34 weeks pregnant and came Into hospital with dehydration. Many of the staff were happy to discharge me because I was tired and wanted to go home! The person in A&E took the time to take my bloods to check my hydration levels before I left. One nurse didn’t appear to approve due to ‘correct procedures’. Luckily they did, my levels were very high - apparently as if I had been drinking excessive alcohol all night. I was soon on a drip. In and out of feeling sick and shaking. After this, I believe the docs and nurses were very helpful although still concerned that some of them were happy to send me home due to wanting to self discharge.
He proved that being a nurse is his life and not just a job. He was amazing, kind, friendly, calm and reassuring. As soon as I could, I went home. Thank you.
