"The member of staff in Medical Records is to be..."

About: Scarborough General Hospital

After being a patient in the Urgent Care Centre, I wanted to praise the GP who provided exceptionally empathetic and insightful care when I suffered excruciating back pain after a fall in my rented flat due to a hole in the floor underneath the carpet.

The hospital asks people to review their services, and I was trying to get the name of this GP.

Being referred to 111 several times, which seems to always be too busy and tells callers to contact their GP if they do not need 999 services, i tried a few different numbers unsuccessfully.

I was pleased and delighted when the person in Medical Records somehow received my call. The member of staff was professional, patient, and polite before he managed to transfer my call successfully to the A & E / Urgent Care Centre reception. Thank you.

I am glad to be able to praise one of the many NHS staff who work behind the scenes, so to speak, and are a very strong, healthy backbone which makes our NHS as effective and efficient as it is.

Thank you for taking the time to send this in - I won't be able to track down the person in Medical Records but can pass on the message to the team and someone might recognise the story!

Best of luck with recovery from your pain.
