I couldn't get an appointment at the doctors, so brought my daughter here with tonsilitis symptoms.
I have experience of these symptoms personally and with my other children. High temp, sore throat, white spots on tonsils.
Trying to avoid a week off school for my child before it really gets a grip.
Before this guy even checked my daughter over,, he explained he would not be giving antibiotics out! I explained the situation and found him arrogant in his manner. He told me to come back if it gets worse, which is what I was trying to avoid.
My daughter is 12, can probably count on 1 hand the times she has attended drs for illness in her lifetime.
I asked for the drs name, at first he was reluctant to tell me, asked why I wanted to know! Eventually gave me his name but revealed he was not a dr or gp, but a paramedic, clearly not enough experience of everyday gp type illnesses. Annoying because this isn't a local service and I can't just pop back, and can't get in at local drs.
Absolute waste of time and nhs funding.
So disillusioned with our nhs management at the moment.
Money for these centres should be given to local gps.
Just fobbing us off.
Will have to try local drs again in the morning, fingers crossed can get in.
I know without a doubt my daughter needs antibiotics, so annoying.
"Waste of time, wait for drs appt if u can."
