This surgery is nightmare. My GP is always recommending me and my wife to see private hospital. It happened twice now.

My wife had small wart on her face after pregnancy. When she went to see the GP he was like go to private doctor and get it removed for £150.

Next time I went to see the GP for my daughter. Who had febrile convultion while we were on holiday in other country. He referred my daughter to paedetracian and said it will take months to get the appointment. I asked him if we can get it early. And he said Its NHS, it's free, it always takes time. If you want it early you can pay £250 and go see a private doctor. What kind of attitude is that? Just so he knows NHS is not feww. Both me and my wife pay NI which goes to NHS.

I am planning to change my GP.

We take all reviews seriously whether good or bad and can confirm that your comments have been investigated. Your GP will be writing directly to you with more specific answers as this is not the appropriate platform for answering a patient clinical complaint.

However, we confirm general facts which are that unfortunately, currently on the NHS, facial warts are not routinely removed. The only option available if removal is required is to have this done privately.

With regards to on going referrals following illness this is of course available via the NHS.

However, due to the increasing pressures on the NHS resulting in potentially long delays we always advise on the anticipated waiting times in particular where perhaps a child is concerned. If the NHS waiting time is not acceptable to a patient then the alternative option is to move forward privately with a private referral.

As a responsible GP Practice, we always ensure our patients are aware of all options available to them for clinical care, as ultimately you do have a choice.
