"Mixed feelings about this practice"

I have used this practice for about seventeen years. Generally I have been happy enough with the service. The receptionists used to be the stereotypical rude and impatient individuals but in recent years they have improved no end. They are usually polite and helpful when I contact the surgery.

I have had one instance in the past with them making a mistake resulting in months of delay in proper treatment .

The receptionist responsible refused to admit her mistake and the clinic battened down the hatches...

That said I find the reception staff pleasant, accommodating and generally amenable.

On my latest visit I felt the GP who saw me was dismissive and lacking any kind of empathy in relation to my injury. For the first time ever I felt talked down to by the GP and felt she wasn't listening to me or understanding my problem. A quick referral for physio and out the door...

Maybe that was me having an off day due to lack of sleep and a painful leg joint. Maybe not.

I will continue to use the surgery but won't be willing to see this particular GP again.
