Following two bowel cancer screening tests which prompted further attention I was swiftly asked to attend at St George's Hospital for a colonoscopy investigation.
My initial meeting at the Endoscopy Department was carried out in a professional and caring manner.
The nurse went to great lengths to explain what would happen at the investigation and I felt calm and well informed.
A week later I returned for my investigation.
The Receptionist welcomed me with a smile, nursing staff put me at my ease with the odd joke and the medical consultant and staff who completed the procedure were calm and reassuring.
I left feeling I had received professional and caring attention.
The following day I received a follow-up call to check that all was well.
I was happy to report that I had enjoyed an excellent night's sleep and felt no ill effects or discomfort. I am very grateful to receive such speedy and good service from the NHS.
"Colonoscopy investigation."
