"Only praise"

About: Borders General Hospital / Acute Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

I had a dangerously high temperature and heart rate caused by cellulitis and food poisoning which I managed to get simultaneously! Ended up being admitted to the acute assessment/medical assessment ward of which I can only praise. The nursing and care standard was of the highest from the cleaners all the way up to the consultants. Their care helped me move to a general ward after two nights with them. Simple things like plenty fresh drinking water and the offers of tea and coffee and the quality of food was also good

Dear Chopperm

Thank you for taking the time to provide this very positive feedback on the care you received in AAU/MAU recently.

We continually strive to provide the highest standards of care for all of our patients so it excellent to hear that we achieved this for you. As you say, everyone in the whole team contributes to the care that patients receive and we should never underestimate the impact of the 'small things' which add up to make a big difference.

Thanks again for your feedback which I will share with the team and I hope that you are now feeling much better and well on the way to full recovery.

Best wishes

Lynne
