"A Big Thank You"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / Cardiology

I was admitted on 3 November 2018 after having suffered a heart attack at home. I cannot speak highly enough of the physicians and staff who were waiting for my arrival and who went to work as soon as I arrived after a long trip from north Shropshire. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout. On transfer to the ward I was cared for in an exceptionally professional, yet friendly manner by a group of nurses who went out of their way to make me comfortable during the days before my discharge. I was also grateful for the staff who provided meals and drinks, those who cleaned and those who would stop for a chat. I also found the porters and ladies manning the discharge suite to be welcoming and they went the extra mile to ensure that those of us waiting to go home were looked after. I was sad to hear one patient being very rude to these good people yet they took it on the chin and remained calm in the face of provocation.

Thank you

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with this lovely feedback. It is great to hear that you had such a good experience at what must have been a very frightening time for you and your family. I hope you are continuing to recover well.

Kind Regards

Angela Grocott
