"Utterly disappointing"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital / Accident and emergency

Been to A&E 30th Nov with chest pain and general weaknesses (feels like fainting all the time) been seen by one of the doctors. He start ,after seeing my blood test and scan said my weaknesses in my legs and body can be because I think about my pain! After having sharp pain on Wednesday ,where I ended up on the floor and since that time been suffering weaknesses in my whole body been told I just think about it therefore I cannot walk proper ! What kind of absurd is that. I was not suffering any weaknesses before only since that chest pain. I'm looking my breath and cannot walk proper according to the doctor because of my imagination .

Secondly half way through the visit ,in the room, another doctor appear and asked my doctor when he is going to finish . He said in next 5 min. She insisted to stay in the room to rush my doctor. He went out of the room to get a prescription and the suddenly another patient was rolled in the room. The room was an optometrist room to check eyesight not an emergency room.

When they roll in a patient on a wheelchair she said to me to leave the room . I did not finish my consultation and been ask to leave! She came to me and said I will show you where you can wait ,I assumed another safe place but she just took me out of the door ,and while standing in the door she said I can wait there. Unbelievable and so disrespectful. She said to me she needs that room as the patient is ill....Sorry but I barely could walk and she just kicked me out in front of the door!!! My doctor gave me painkillers -surprisingly and could go. Treatment was so bad that I won't recommend it to anyone!

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent experience.

I am concern with the issues you have described and feel it is important that we investigate to look at what has happened.

However, given that this is a public website, it would be inappropriate to request personal details.

Therefore, I wonder if you would be happy to speak with our PALS department to discuss your concerns further.

They can be contacted via email on myh-tr@palsmidyorks.nhs.net.

Thank you again and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn
