Following an appointment with my optician I was referred to the Forth Valley eye clinic. I was given an appointment at Falkirk Community Hospital around five weeks later. I attended the Eye Clinic as arranged and was seen on time and given a preliminary vision test before seeing the doctor who conducted a thorough examination of both eyes and explained that the cloudy vision in my right eye was the result of matter adhering to the back of the lens that had been fitted during a cataract operation some ten years before. She suggested that this could be corrected by means of a laser. She explained the procedure and told me of possible risks. I agreed to have the treatment and was taken to a laser facility where the procedure was carried out. The treatment lasted about five minutes and was painless. Within an hour my vision was completely clear and I have had no adverse effects. I can say that not only was the medical aspects top class, the treatment that I received from everyone concerned could not have been bettered.
