"Poor communication with midwife"

About: The Royal London Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

Myself and my partner had a 12 week scan on the maternity ward. When talking to the midwife, we were unable to understand a single word she said. We subsequently asked her several questions as we had not understood what we were told, but she simply ignored us. I have never ever experienced health care like this before. To add to this, she forgot to send the blood / urine samples for the required tests. We are now having to get these done by our local GP, who was astounded the midwife had not done them. We have a 20 week scan in 2 weeks, is there any way we can request we see a different midwife? ? It scares me to think we may have to see the same midwife again putting our babies health at risk

Hi - I responded 4 days ago to the email address you suggested, but no acknowledgement of my email as of yet. Could you advise an SLA time scale? Thanks
