On behalf of our family, I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to the staff of A&E and ICU/HDU at Hairmyres Hospital.
My mother in law was admitted on Sunday and sadly passed away the next morning. The professional care, respect and compassion that she received in her final hours was beyond outstanding. In particular Donna and Leah in A&E and Carolyn and Claire in ICU/HDU worked tirelessly to help her.
I also need to say that the support we received as a family saying goodbye to a loved one was a profound example human kindness in action.
For all the medical staff who fought so hard to keep mum with us, for the staff who advised and also hugged us; we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
