"Cancer treatment"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Oncology unit

(as a relative),

My partner was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer. He saw the specialist within a couple of weeks and was told he was an urgent case and he should wait for an appointment to have surgery.

Time passed and he went to his GP who now tells him he is on a 29 week waiting list! So much for being an urgent case. Like he says he could be dead by then.

On the NHS Forth valley website it clearly states waiting time of 62 days. This is deplorable. People need to know this, it cannot be lawful to make a cancer patient wait 6 months to start treatment.
