My sister was booked for an operation Tuesday 13th November 2018, due to the anaesthetist being on the ball this was cancelled as no-one else had bothered about an existing condition, this could have left my sister with brain damage, I can't thank the anaesthetist enough, however, my sister was told she would be urgently referred to Neurology and a MRI would be booked.
After phoning to check progress on these nothing had been actioned, we were advised to contact PALS and put in a formal complaint (I have an ongoing complaint on behalf of my Dad due to the same non communication between departments) I have spoke to the department who were due to do the operation and was told that my sisters notes were being held on the surgical ward...We called Thursday & Friday and had a reply on Monday to say that she still hadn't been referred, today I called again and was told she had been referred to Neurology at Lincoln hospital, 3 times I tried to call them where the call was ended after 3.5 minutes of dialling so I have gone through the switchboard, it is now 35 minutes since the switchboard put me though and still it rings with no one answering. To say I am disgusted is an understatement and will be contacting PALS as once again, just as with my Dad, we are unable to get any answers or even to talk to someone.
