"Counselling"

I was referred for counselling by my GP.

I began seeing a counsellor and was beginning to work through some issues. I had received around 6 sessions when I received a phonecall from my counsellor that he was off sick and would contact me on his return to rearrange our appointment. That was 8 months ago.

I have asked my GP about it and she says that Mind are no longer offering counselling at our surgery because of funding issues. I feel very let down and feel that it is highly unprofessional and unethical to have left me in the middle sessions of my intervention with no explanation. I also think this could be dangerous for vulnerable patients.
