"Outstanding Service"

About: Nuffield Health, Exeter Hospital

I was referred to have a Discectomy/Decompression.

My first visit to see the consultant surgeon was pleasant. Both my wife and I were welcomed by friendly reception staff and then the the consultant. Who was was very thorough and to the point and explained what exactly would happen. A few weeks later we arrive on the day of surgery to be again welcomed by friendly reception staff then escorted to my room. The room was clean and fresh. Within the first half hour I was seen by the doctor surgeon nurses physiotherapist ect. I went down for surgery and can honestly say any nerves had been put at ease already and before I knew it I was coming round in recovery. The aftercare once back in my room can not be faulted at all. Nurses were always in and out checking on me and that I was ok. The next morning the nurses helped me to get up washed dressed ect and the physio visited to explain the rest of my recovery exercises.

The consultant visited as well to check on me and check things were ok. I was advised that should

I need any advise once back home to not hesitate to pick up the phone and get in touch.

To sum up my whole experience I can not rate all the staff highly enough and thank you all for everything you did for me.
