My GP referred me to Leeds GIC in Summer 2018 and I had a telephone preliminary interview quite quickly . After this interview I was signed off. I did say that I wasn't prepared to go all the way and openly live in my preferred gender (M2F). I asked my GP to send me because I read in the NHS Guidelines on Gender Dysphoria as follows :- "The aim of hormone therapy is to make you more comfortable with yourself, both in terms of physical appearance and how you feel. These hormones start the process of changing your body into one that is more female or more male, depending on your gender identity. They usually need to be taken indefinitely, even if you have genital reconstructive surgery.
Hormone therapy may be all the treatment you need to enable you to live with your gender dysphoria. The hormones may improve how you feel and mean that you don't need to start living in your preferred gender or have surgery.
" I refer to the last sentence re hormones and starting to live in your prefered gender. I thought the centre could possible help me in this way
"Hormone Treatment enabling me to feel better!"
