About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a relative),

Sorry this has taken so long. Our dad was admitted to ward 4 in the RAH in August after having an ischemic stroke. After a few days on the ward his nurse Lauren noticed something "wasn't right" and alerted the doctor. He went for a scan and unfortunately his condition had deteriorated and he passed away the next day.

To the catering staff who asked us if we wanted tea, soup... a sandwich, to all the nursing team who made us feel that nothing was a problem - we as a family would just like to thank you all.  I also work in a stroke rehab ward and saw this from "the other side" and it was made a whole lot easier from all of you. You are a credit to the NHS and the RAH are so lucky to have you x

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback about the staff in Ward 4. We are so sorry to hear that your Dad did not recover from his stroke.

It is humbling to hear that staff were able to offer you support at such a difficult time for you and your family. I have shared your feedback with the staff in Ward 4 and they were delighted with your kind words.

Thank you again and we wish you and your family all the best.

Many thanks,

Victoria
