"Upset by my husbands treatment at Eastbourne General hospital"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital

(as a relative),

My husband had an angiogram at Eastbourne General hospital. Four days after this he developed septicemia and nearly died, he then developed a DVT in his leg and an aneurysm in the artery at the top of his right leg .

He had an operation to deal with the aneurysm and has developed an infection in the wound site of the operation whilst he was in hospital. I am concerned that this hospital seems full of infection and there seems to be no end to it.

My husband’s quality of life has gone down so much that I am worried he will never be the same again. He was in hospital for six weeks. I feel he has been let down by the incompetence and poor nursing I have seen. This has been one of the most scary experiences of our life, it is a nightmare that we cannot wake from.
