I had an extremely bad experience with Maternity Department. Lack of competence, neglect, and no empathy for the patients.

Healthy person, no problems at all during my pregnancy I ended having C section as myself and my baby got sepsis. The Night staff I encountered were listening loud music, ignoring completely the patients. When asked for help the staff become very aggressive towards my mom. They asked her to leave or they will call security.

I was scared and terrified at all times. I feel the Maternity at Broomfied Hospital is a dangerous environment and CQC should check the unit there more carefully.

We are sorry for your experience you have had, and are concerned about several points raised about our Maternity Services. I will forward the feedback to our Head of Midwifery and ask the Trusts Patient Council to undertake a department visit to speak with women on the Postnatal Ward about their experience.
