I recently had a laparoscopic hysterectomy in Crosshouse Hospital Kilmarnock. The care I received from start to finish was excellent. Staff from day surgery, theatre and the gynaecology ward showed the utmost professionalism and care. I was very frightened, as a nurse myself the “what if’s” running through my head were a challenge. Both pre and post surgery and I was supported with smiling caring faces and when I needed it most a hand to hold. (Thank you Anaesthetist)
The nurses although really busy were attentive and kind a smiling face makes a huge difference when your disoriented post Anaesthesia . My tea was made to perfection and the cheery phlebotomist who got blood 1st time (no mean feat) to name some of the care that made a real difference. My hospital stay has been entirely positive the ability to have major surgery with very little pain or discomfort highlights the skill of the surgical team who performed my surgery. It’s important to acknowledge the great work provided by the NHS.If I was giving a trip advisor rating 5/5 would be my feedback. Not that I’m planning to revisit thanks all the same.
