I came to UK several years ago. I was registered with a GP in Fallowfield in Manchester and was fine with everything.
Few weeks ago I moved and registered with a GP in Ancoats. In November I went to see them with migraines that I had every day. I am final year student so you can imagine it really didn't help.
Furthermore I mentioned to them that we have got depression in family for generations and I said to them I wasn't feeling well for past few weeks and I suggested tests on me as I knew my physical sickness was a reason of me having unbelievably uncontrollable panic attacks in which I started to be so desperate that i thought it would be better to finish my life.
After Christmas I went to see them as I couldn't even go home on plane as I was having panic attacks every day few times. I said I need to see a mental health doctor and they said it is normal that I get stressed out and sent me home.
They also said it was normal not to have a period for nearly three months (I am 26y.o. and not pregnant, don't drink nor smoke).
The thing that got to me the most was that when I entered the office they said let's do this quickly, and was arrogant to a point where I thought to myself if I went to kill myself after this meeting would you sleep well tonight? Two days later my boyfriend had to run home from work as I was out of my mind and had to take me to Emergency.
I only got one thing to say: next time this doctor should realize that if they don't know how to do the job they shouldn't offer services as a doctor who helps and treats but should go to sell stuff on market street.
"Terrible service and awful, arrogant staff"
