"Had enough. I moved today"

About: Two Rivers Medical Centre

I've known for a while that this surgery has been having problems.

The Doctors that I relied on from the old Woodbridge Rd site all left or retired in quick succession, so a vital 'caring' link was lost.

Now I expected some teething issues so I stuck with them hoping they would come good.

This has not happened to anyone's satisfaction.

The old Emis system had changed and my log-on details were somehow corrupted.

I have not been able to use system online properly since. The center has done little to rectify that.

So I got used to calling for my prescriptions.

In August I had Cardio tests in Colchester.

The test was unsuccessful and needed to be conducted elsewhere.

I was left to chase the results between 2x hospitals and the surgery so I could get the other tests organized.

I was made to feel it was no ones fault but maybe mine? shoulder shrugging ensued.

I finally had 2x MRI tests done before Xmas and was told the results would come via the doctors.

I got a text overseas from hosp saying I had an appointment (that I never made!)

Still I turned up on the day I'd flown back to UK.

I had been traveling 24hrs.

I went as instructed to find i do have health issues.

I went to docs yesterday as had really bad tennis elbow for some 2.5 months.

I was late by exactly 10 mins.

The system would not allow me to log in regardless of a 10 min leeway that is in place.

I waited in the queue for about 6+mins as 4 people in front of me.

When i got to the receptionist she said i was very late.

I said I was 10 mins late and she argued the toss with me. She called the doctor saying I was over 15mins late where the doc (whom I'd never met by the way) refused to see me.

I was not happy.

I went back the next day......waited about 70mins to be seen with no idea why.

Nothing on screens or tannoys.

That sums up the disregard they have for patients I feel.

It sets up poor feelings from the outset.

No apology from doctor and I left with a script that was well short of what I requested as i work away.

My recent test results were not even on the system.

I told him what was discovered at cardio.

How wrong is that?

Was advised by Hosp to take aspirin, he would not write me up as the hospital had not told them that.

There is no reciprocal trust or respect.

I asked to see the practice manager, not available (no surprise there) nor were they the day before when I called in to complain after I left.

I saw a polite and understanding representative and informed her I would be leaving giving full reasons.

I look forward to having the care where they know a bit about you, care about you, not just as a face but as a person.

Have to say the nurse practitioners there fare better in my estimation.

They are probably the glue.

I will not miss the interaction @ 3 rivers.

The practice needs a serious overhaul of thinking.

Such a pity as the new building looks spectacular.

But its a case of 'All show and no go' sadly.

Room for improvement
