"Ambulatory dept service"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Accident and emergency

My elderly mother attended the Ambulatory Dept on 10 Nov and was admitted overnight for various tests. She then attended again for a CT scan on the 14 Nov. The nurses and doctors were superb in their care and attention over the weekend of 10/11 Nov and helped ease her concerns. Her afternoon on the 14th was nerve wracking for her, but the positive results were sensitively talked through with her by one particular doctor who showed such an excellent, caring "bedside manner" and appreciated how nervous and distressed my mother had become through the process. The nurses and reception staff were excellent in their manner and care yet again. Many, many thanks for the superb care my mother received.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your mother's recent attendance to the Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital and subsequent admission for tests.

It is lovely to receive such positive feedback regarding the care and service your mother received during her stay and further attendance for a CT scan and we are delighted to pass this on to the staff who will very much appreciate your comments as they always strive to deliver safe, personal & effective care.

If you would like to provide us with further information about your experience then we would really value this so that we can try to make it like this for every patient visiting our hospitals and using our services.

You can either contact me (Sarah Ridehalgh) on 01254 734471 or by email at patientexperience@elht.nhs.uk.

Thank you again for commenting and best wishes.
