This is the second time in the last 12 months i have had to visit this A&E. The first time i was taken by ambulance. The second time i was given a choice of hospitals i could go to by my GP who advised i needed medical attention straight away. It was clear to me without a doubt, after having received such a positive experience the previously, that this hospital is the one to to go to. I received an excellent service from all the staff who are friendly and respectful of your dignity. The staff keep you well informed of treatment/tests required and are very thorough in investigating the cause of illness and providing a diagnosis.
Even the after care is exceptional, as i needed to go to the Orthopaedics for observations as an outpatient.
I would like to thank you, this hospital is a shining example of what makes the NHS so special, especially when we know hospitals are facing tight budgets and staff shortages, the work being done by staff is to such a high standard, there maybe a long wait ( which is down to prioritising medical attention) but it is certainly worth it!
