About: Southend Hospital

I’m feeling anxious that I’ve had to leave my husband in Hockley Ward - 30 hours ago we were told he’d have antibiotics-he’s still waiting for, them, even though he has a serious infection. We were told an error was made, but 7 hours later they still haven’t rectified it.

When we try and get them administered the staff are rude and unhelpful and I felt aggressive.

Other patients on the ward have said they are hungry and I’ve had to go to the shop to buy food for them.

This is so disappointing, but a sad reflection on an over stretched NHS.
