I had had an extremely bad night suffering from excruciating neuropathic pain in my right foot which seemed to have been triggered by a large patch of contact dermatitis.
I rang the surgery to ask for help and was advised that an Advanced Nurse Practitioner would ring me back.
I received a call a short while afterwards and when I explained my problem, I was told that as I couldn't get the pain under control using my usual medication, it was probably because the dermatitis had become infected.
The nurse prescribed me three different creams and explained which one would probably work the best.
A friend collected the prescription for me and the cream started to work almost immediately.
I was so extremely grateful to be out of that agonising pain!
A few days later, I rang the surgery to pass on my thanks to the nurse.
The receptionist thanked me for taking the trouble to telephone.
I was very impressed by the level of service, and the kindness, I received.
"Very grateful!"
