"A marvellous service with staff exhibiting real..."

About: Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton)

What I liked

I have stated Orthopaedic services as I was on what I believe is 'their' Portman ward.

The nursing/care staff were excellent on that ward. Indeed, I witnessed many acts of genuine care & kindness to all patients but notably the more elderly. One of the staff was particularly conscientious sharing her experiences of another country with a blind patient whilst feeding him and generally acting in a very caring manner - she even walked one of the departing patients down to the bus stop to ensure his safe discharge. Powerful stuff.

There was also a young nurse who, again very conscientious, seemed to 'make things happen' in a very positive sense and worked in a very diligent manner.

Just all very impressive - even the food was pretty good and hot!

i'd also commend the Medical Admissions Unit who appeared to be under tremendous pressure as an ever-growing number of people like me just turned up at the hospital. Great medical service all somehow delivered with a smile.
