"my daughter is very annoyed over this!"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

Anything else?

my grandaughter was taken to A&E tonight, 10-2-2012, with stomach pains, which she has suffered with a lot recently.

She is 9 yrs old, her mother was worried in case it was her appendix.

A Doctor quite rudely told my daughter, there was an out of hrs doctor she could have gone to.

The child was crying with the pain, & my daughter judged she didnt wish to wait to make a phone call, wait for someone to call her back, then wait for an appointment time, as they do there!

The child has come home with medication,to be taken back if she starts vomiting, as this is a sign of the appendix playing up!

Every wk, no questions asked, people who are badly intoxicated, have been fighting through drink drugs,,etc, are seen to.

Why should my daughter be made to feel guilty, over a sick child!

The dept is for everyone, I think this attitude is all wrong!

We are sorry to read about your experiences, and are very concerned that you do not feel you were treated with the appropiate consideration and respect we would have expected. We would very much welcome the opportunity to investigate these important issues for you. Could you please contact our Patient Advice &Liaison Service (PALS) on telephone number 01204 390193 and we will arrange for a senior member of staff from the department to look into this for you. Many thanks.
