A 75 yr old gentleman with co-morbibities who had a return of cellulitis and concern of sepsis. Triaged promptly- disaffected nurse, barely listened, did not examine the injury. Waited in the waiting room and heard patients being called in the usual NHS way of first name last name. We did not hear his name called in that manner. A very sloppy unprofessional looking 'nurse' stood at the door, said a first name the same as the patient's. We thought she was talking to a colleague we found later it was his 'call' After 2 hrs told he wasn’t on the list as had not responded when called. Patient becoming very unwell. Told he wld be triaged again; we’d have to wait 2hrs again if to see a doctor. Finally triaged; treated with passive hostility; told wait again. Full name called and bloods taken; told to wait again. Lay on coats on empty chairs as was very ill. Finally called professional manner was at last allowed to lie down and saw a competent doctor at 11.00 pm 4 hours after our arrival in A&E
