one year on and I still think about the experience and great care I received when delivering my baby safely in to this world.
I had joined parenting groups and received copious amounts of advise from friends & family, yet when it was my time I was terrified!
My midwife was one year in having completing her training and stayed with me her entire shift & never left for a break or even a cup of tea. She reassured me & guided me through my labour, even when things did not go to plan and I needed to be assisted I felt safe knowing that she was there and the team around me were experienced to deal with any complications. They were all Amazing,
Especially the anaesthetist who came to give me my requested epidroural, I know that names are not allowed, but she was the star of the show for me.
Having been requested to surgery, she visited me to see if I was ready, as she may not be available for the next few hours. Her gentle kind nature really assured me & hours later I was glad to have her by my side cheering me on to push in the labour room.
I missed my chance to say Thank you specifically to her & hope she may read this. It made such a difference to my experience. I know that NHS are not always valued highly & I will always remember my good experience due to the staff & care I received while there.
I am a very happy mother with a beautiful one year old.
Thank you
