"WOW"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

My mother in law had to be brought into a&e by ambulance and was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism and pneumonia and then placed on ward 5 for one night, then ward 29 for the duration of her stay.

From the ambulance staff, all the staff at a&e and all on ward 5 and 29 she was treated with utmost care and respect from everybody.

Things were always explained to her and her questions were answered. Her food intake was always monitored to ensure she was eating enough.

She said the food was lovely so well done to the catering team. She loved the home made soup every day!

Whatever you are doing on ward 29, your doing it right!

It was so reassuring for all family members to hear, from her, that she was being so well cared for and we all felt confident with her level of care.

The staff at a&e have many `challenges' but from what we witnessed, they all do their very best, with the resources they have. My advise for people attending a&e is "take off your watch, sit back and let the amazing staff do their job". I am sorry we didn't get individual names to praise staff, but from start to finish, all the staff were just brilliant so a big thank you.
