Today I tried to ring the Bourne End Medical Centre - Wednesday 14th November. I was told I was 6th in the queue by the answering service. Over an hour and a half later I was told I was number 1 in the queue! So having the phone on speaker and doing other jobs I continued to hold. After all if I was 1 in the queue then surely I would get through soon!! Soon is a relative word, over 2 hours and 16 minutes I was still number 1 in the queue. I thought this isn’t right so I called the number from my landline and the surgery machine said closed for lunch! So why 2 hours and nearly 30 minutes later was I still getting the message you are number 1 in the queue! So I hung up. My call started at 11 am and I hung up at 1.30 pm. I obviously wasted time and money getting nowhere! All I wanted was a repeat prescription for migraine pills - sumertriptin and I had a migraine when I called which prompted me. This is appalling customer service the worst I have encountered! I tried again this evening from 5.30 pm to 6..00 pm the lines just gave an engaged tone then said the surgery was closed! How am I to get through or get a repeat prescription?!! Perhaps someone in your black hole of a surgery can help? Must I come in and speak to reception? Sort out your phones and reception for goodness sake! Patient Karen E Atkinson - Pound House Surgery, Maybe you can call me back?! Repeat prescription usually provided by a doctor thank you
