Blackpool Victoria hospital Cardiology department.
In late 2016 my 78, year old wife was diagnosed as having a faulty aortic heart valve which was described as severe.
In April 2017 after weeks of tests and investigation she underwent open heart surgery to replace the damaged valve.
She was laid up for a short while recuperating, she then started walking every day and attending weight lifting, aerobic and zumba classes four times a week. She is fitter and healthier now than she has been for years.
We and our family would like to thank the host of nurses, technicians, doctors and staff who contributed so much to her present good health.
A special thank you is due to the consultant, the surgeon and the anaesthetist, and all their support staff, most of whom performed their miracles unseen in the background.
They were difficult times for us, but the services we received from everybody we came into contact with at Victoria hospital during this treatment can only be described as stunning, nothing it seemed was too much trouble, we were treated with respect and concern by everybody from the receptionist to the consultant.
Well done and Thank you from Pat n Frank Gosling and family. Nov.2018.
