I was referred for CBT by my GP, my therapist was nice enough but I didn't have much of a rapport with her and I felt the treatment was all too formulaic and not really specifically designed for my needs. I was repeatedly asked to do things that I do already and I didn't feel I was particularly listened to by my therapist or her manager who just continued to reiterate that CBT was the only possible avenue for me. Felt like a one size fits all type approach to treatment.
