I have type II diabetes, which requires 6-monthly reviews which used to happen until the doctor I saw partially retired.

I have seen another doctor over a year ago, but no-one since.

Trying to arrange an appointment via the telephone is almost impossible...for either someone to answer the telephone..or for a helpful response when someone does answer.

I understand that the practice is busy but the receptionists (most of them anyway) are surly, sharp, and offhand....this comment is based on all of the contacts I have had with them over the years...they get worse, not better.

The website says that regular six-monthly reviews can be booked in advance.

The receptionists say that they can't.

I have huge experience of working within a stressed NHS environment and understand the pressures involved...but the patient is a person and should be treated with dignity...this practice does not do that.

If you complain politely their response is to suggest that they are being abused!!

Really.
