About: St Mary's Hospital (Newport)

(as a relative),

I am writing to give feedback on the excellent quality of care and attention given to my 94 yr old father over the 10 days that he was in St. Mary's. We have nothing but the utmost praise for the medical teams attending him who were always happy to give us information over the phone as we live abroad. The NHS at its best.

Sadly Dad passed away and we were advised immediately. Our thanks to all concerned in his care and welfare.

Thank you so much for your reply & condolances. My father received the best of care from the MAU team & latterly with the team on Colwell ward. The young man who gave me the sad news of my father's demise was Spanish & as I have lived in Spain for over 30 years & my father & mother came to stay here many times,it seemed such an ironical occurence & made a long distance call seem much more meaningful. Thank you to everyone connected with dad's superb care.
