After suffering many months of shoulder pain with no relief from physiotherapy and medication, I was pleased to have been offered an appointment to see a specialist at this hospital. From the first time of meeting the consultant, I was assured that I would get better , although I was told it could take some time for my shoulders to fully recover. I had keyhole surgery on the right one, It was explained to me that it would be unwise to have both shoulders repaired at the same time. Before and after the surgery I was cared for very well by all the staff involved. I am currently seeing a physiotherapist who is showing me the exercises I need to strengthen the shoulder, and I am beginning to feel an improvement and do not need strong painkillers any more, only paracetamol now and again. I have been told by the surgeon that I will still need to have the left shoulder operated on once the right one is better, I feel far more confident now that I will eventually be pain free than I did at the start of the year. I am really very grateful to everyone concerned in my recovery.
