After a CTG on ADU, I was admitted to the ward, were I was told different scenarios of what would happen. My water had ruptured over 12 hours prior, after having this happen in 4 pregnancies prior I was extremely anxious about infection. I made it clear I wanted to be induced that night. I was ignored. I was admitted the to ward, on 4 hourly observations, my waters turned to blood. I was told this was "normal" early hours of the morning, I couldn't feel my baby. I buzzed as this was my third episode of no movements. Midwife listened with doppler (did NOT put me on the CTG)
Within 4 hours from this episode my son's heart stopped. After it was confirmed my son had died, I can't fault the staff from this point on. However the staff prior, rushed, did not listen to me, ignored what I was tell them, and failed to document everything. This hospital failed to keep my son safe, despite me telling them numerous times something was wrong.
