"Accessing notes on Thurland Ward"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health (inpatient)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Just visited Thurland Ward to look at how to promote looking at medical notes. Talked to OTs, the ward manager and patients to look at the best way to do it. Watch this space!

Hello, my name is Jane Danforth. My role involves helping our service users, volunteers and staff to understand that Notts Healthcare wants to hear stories about our services. We reply to every story and it really helps us to improve what we do, how we do it and to hear about what works well too.

Dear Spiderman,

I just wanted to let you know. that all patients can request to see their medical notes at any time by putting a request in writing to their consultant. We have a number of patients who have also requested to have copies of their notes.

Hope this helps you

Thanks
