In late August this year after my first mammogram, I was referred to The Magnolia Centre for further investigations and treatment. Having undergone biopsies and scans over the next few weeks, I was admitted to York Hospital for a double mastectomy and immediate reconstruction which was exactly 5 weeks from initial diagnosis. I can honestly say that I have been blown away by the standard of care I have received at every stage. From the radiographers who carried out 3 biopsies, to the breast care nurses, every time I have been treated with the utmost care and respect. My consultant has been professional, kind and thoughtful which meant I had complete confidence in her ability to carry out my treatment. Post op care was second to non apart from a rogue agency nurse who frankly made me realise just how amazing the other staff were! I would like to send my heartfelt thanks to all who have been involved in my treatment to date and I would not hesitate in recommending the service I have experienced.
