"Stayed in this hospital Twice both times for..."

I have been fortunate enough to have both my knee replacement surgeries carried out by the same consultant at the Spire Havent,

I have to say that I feel blessed to have been fortunate enough to receive treatment from such a dedicated and supportive team of professionals.

I can only speak from my own experience but on both occasions there were some complications.

On the first occasion some two and a half years ago I had a lot of pain. My GP who is in my opinion excellent did not fully appreciate the level of pain I was in. The pharmacist from the Spire spoke to my GP and explained the situation. This resulted in a far better pain relief .

The second replacement was in October 2018 the pharmacist remembered me and consequently I received good pain relief from day one. This has made a big difference to my recovery and comfort post opp.

My room was clean however I feel the shower should be a walk in as it was not possible for me to step into a bath.

The food was very good with a good choice.

The experiment of an afternoon tea at the weekend was a very nice surprise.

The reception polite and efficient.

The nurses attentive and caring.

I think the room I had this time was a little dated however I am aware that the hospital is going through a process of modernising the rooms.

I am very happy with my treatment overall on both occasions. After all it’s a hospital not a hotel.

I have phoned the hospital today 2 weeks post opp because I was concerned about the wound. I phoned at 8am and was seen by a nurse at 10am . There was nothing to worry about but I do feel better for having the nurse look into it.

That’s what I call service.

I just love you nurse. Can’t thank you all enough.
