"I feel privileged to have had my treatment in this..."

About: Freeman Hospital

What I liked

I had an open repair of an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm in Dec 2011. The surgery, after care and follow-up care have all been excellent. I was fully consulted throughout my stay, and the Nursing staff in Ward 8 in particular could not have been more attentive and caring. What a superb Hospital the Freeman is, and I count myself as very fortunate to have had my treatment there. I would highly recommend this Hospital to anyone. Their reputation as one of the top Hospitals in the country for cardio-vascular surgery is thoroughly deserved.

What could be improved

Hospital meals were not great, but were at least adequate.

Thank you very much for your comment dated 8th February 2012 regarding the quality of care provided whilst you have been a patient under Vascular Team on Ward 8 at the Freeman Hospital. Your kind words and appreciation are greatly valued by all concerned. We will pass on your comments about the hospital food to the catering manager as we continually review our menus and suppliers.
