About: Water Meadow Surgery

Over the years I have been at the practice they have not treated me well. Today I have been told that my repeat prescription medicine has also been removed from my repeat prescription list and I am told to buy it elsewhere? They are gradually removing all my repeat prescriptions of other medications I need which they started doing several moths ago. They play god with you and have no respect for your welfare, peace of mind or well being. I am now looking for another GP practice who will give me the help and support I need.

We are sorry that you do not feel treated well by us, as we always try to do our best for all our patients. However, there are times when we have to provide what the patient needs, not necessarily what the patient wants. We also have to be aware that we have a moral responsibility to abide by NHS ethics and rules. To this end, we have been advised by NHS England and Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group that we should not routinely prescribe items or medications that patients can easily obtain over the counter at their local pharmacy or supermarket.
