"Ophthalmologist department"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Ophthalmology

In 2013 I was referred to the opthalmology department with a serious eye complaint that Barnsley hospital couldn't sort out. I was fortunate to be under the care of a wonderful doctor who managed to correctly diagnose the underlying condition an successfully treat it. The sister in the department was also wonderful as we're the other doctors I met along the way. During the last five years I have also suffered two retinal detachment, both have which been successfully repaired. Now 5 years later I have finally been discharged with vision in my eyes that, somehow, is better than most people I know of a similar age. I cannot thank or praise this department enough. They have been friendly, professional and nothing has been too much trouble, especially the doctor and sister.

Thank you for leaving feedback, and although you have been through a very difficult process it is great to know you have experienced a good improvement in your vision. Your kind and positive words really will mean a great deal to the staff in Ophthalmology, they will be very encouraged by them.

With thanks and all best wishes
